Pocking Eggs

An Easter tradition in my house growing-up was called "pocking eggs". We would use the hard-boiled eggs that we had dyed and have a contest to see who's egg was the strongest. Here's how you play...

Step 1: Everyone chooses their favorite egg and you take turns "pocking" each other. You decide who will be on the giving and who will be on the receiving end of a pock and the giver delivers one solid tap to the end of the other egg.
Step 2: Whomever's egg cracks must turn it over to the other end for a second try. The "receiving" eggs remains in that position until it cracks.

Step 3: Once an egg is cracked on both ends...it's out!

Step 4: The last egg standing with an uncracked end is the winner. Sullivan's egg won this year at our house!

The pocking purists keep that egg in their refrigerator until next Easter when the title gets passed down to another winning egg but I think that's kind of gross so we just keep it for about a week.

What a fun game and great idea to make more use out of the decorated eggs. We might just have to take on that tradition!
