Goodbye, Carly
Was anyone else SHOCKED by the elimination of Carly Smithson last night on American Idol? She is such a power-house who is one of the few contestants who is consistent week to week. Whether you liked her Celine-esque style and tatted arm or not...she's still a solid performer who I thought would make it at least to the top 3. Very interesting. I'm still routing for Brooke White. I love her singer/songwriter sensibility and the fact that she comes across as very genuine and humble makes me like her even more.

I thought David Cook did amazing this week. I still like Brooke too, I feel like she is going to fall apart every week though, I think the pressure is getting to her. My favorite performance of hers was "Let it Be", it was so good. I was suprised by Carly getting booted to. She handled it very well.
I could not believe it was Carly!!! Very shocking! But I have to say, as much as I used to love Brooke, I am really over her now. Her voice just doesn't seem as good and I completely agree that it seems like she may fall apart each week! David Cook is my new favorite, I couldn't believe how well he did Andrew Loyd Webber...

No,no,no people! I know this wasn't his best week - but my all time fave is still Jason Castro! I LOVE his style of music and I LOVE his voice! I love Brooke too but I'm not sure she really wants to be the next American Idol. I think she just wants to be a wonderful wife - which is a great thing! I don't like David Cook's style at all - but that's just a personal thing I'm sure. I won't miss Carly - sweet but too hard-rock type and that tattoo - ugh! David A. is cute and good but very young and I can't hardly hear him talk since I saw a thing on TMZ comparing him to Napoleon Dynamite (his voice DOES sound just like Napoleon!) Syesha has got a beautiful smile and I do like her voice but Jason is still my FAVORITE!

I liked Carly a lot and was surprised she left last night,but I have to agree with Mammy about Jason Castro - love that boy! I think I have bought all of his studio versions - amazing.

I think Carly is great but she had NO fan base. I am a David Cook fan. He is amazing! I think Brooke is super sweet but it is her time to go...she is falling apart. I think Jason needs to go too, sorry Mammy!
I like Brook and Jason...but I think David Cook has a good chance of taking it all. I think all three are really good. The young kid has an amazing voice as well...I think Syesha is gone next...
I'm shocked Carly went home too! I had her pegged for the top 2. Something about Brooke turns me off, I haven't liked her sice day one. Still loving little Davey (David A), even when he messes up, I want to bake him some cookies and be his mommy!
