Palo Duro Canyons

Tuesday

What a fun day we spent in Canyon, Texas. It's about 2 hours North of Lubbock and a beautiful sight to behold there are the Palo Duro Canyons. We went with one of Robin's dear friends, Kim and two of her kiddos, Jonah & Sydney. We had a great time! We took a hike up a trail and looked out into the canyon. The kids did surprisingly well climbing rocks and jumping over low spots in the heat.
the O'Quinns

a cave
the boys
the girls

the Big girls (& Sully...I promise he's under there!)

the Dufilhos

a cowboy!

We saw the musical, Texas in the canyon as the sun went down, complete
with a special 4th of July fireworks show at the finale.
It was really good. They had horses racing along the top of
the canyon throughout the show. The kids loved it!

I hope Robin remembers you are crippled! :) I'm sure you aren't acting like you are though, not like I would be! I can't go on a hike - I have a broken finger! Great pics, the hike looks like it was beautiful. I'm curious to see what kind of piece you were paiting in the post below...it looks really cool. Have fun!

So fun! Conn used to go camping there when he was at Tech and I think our family visited when we were moving to Colorado when I was younger. Also, my cousins are going next week. How crazy is that?! My mom was just telling me about the "Texas" show. So glad y'all are having a wonderful time!!!! Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! :)

You are a freakin SUPER mom. I cant believe you hiked with Sulli. You are the best mom. Tell Maggie that Mr. Frank wants to hear all about her trip when she gets back.
