Big Boy is ONE!

One year ago
tonight, I was finally holding my little baby. The little baby that I had carried for nine months and didn't know his gender. The little baby who had to come via c-section after laboring all day because the cord was wrapped three times around his neck. The little baby who was the smallest of my babies at 6 pounds 10 ounces. Maggie announced to the waiting room, "It's a brother!"

We can't imagine our family without our little Sully. He's got so much personality and the sweetest disposition. He's never met a stranger and will go to anyone who will hold him. He's walking like a pro and gets into things faster than you can say "Where's Sully?"

Happy First Birthday, little man.

Our New Baby

No, it's not what you think. Casey and I are not expecting, but we do have a new venture that we're starting. A lot of you have commented that you like our blog header. After a long hiatus of having babies, I will be working again, this time with my very talented husband to help style, art direct, and coordinate the set-up of these photo shoots.

...check out the photo we did for my sister's family and a behind the scene's look at what goes into the shot. Also be sure to check out caseyoquinn.com to see Casey's complete photography portfolio. Spread the word if you know of anyone needing one of these unconventional, "Unformal" shots and check back to see more of these as we complete them.

It's back...

My stupid Terminator robot arm is back in action. Eight hours a day in
an effort to regain use of my left index finger. Does this look like
it makes tending to three children easy? I've already injured Maggie
when she bumped into it and busted her lip

Thank the Lord for my parents and their assistance through all of this!

A whole new world

Sully went for his first walk outside today. He had a great time sampling nature's cuisine: rocks, leaves, sticks and pine cones! Look out, world...this boy is on the move.

"Mom?..."

These are the moments you can't re-tell...you can only hear it first-hand. God bless the iPhone to allow me to capture my precious conversations with my kids!
